The Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of St. Petersburg holds the international architectural and planning competition focusing on the Concept of transformation of the Southern part of the territory of a historical industrial/residential territory, so called «gray belt» of St. Petersburg.

In December 2015 the results of the international competition to draw up an architectural and urban-planning concept for the development of the reclaimed land on Vasilievsky Island were announced. The client for the competition was Glorax Development. After the results were announced on December 15th, Project Baltia talked to representatives of the Dutch consortium KCAP + ORANGE, the joint winner with A. Len of St Petersburg. We began by talking to Patrick Meijers and Jeroen Schipper of ORANGE; later, we were joined by Mariya Pidodnia from KCAP.
